After investing in the equipment and skills to design and develop curved decks for our Des Moines-area clients, we soon realized we also needed to invest in drone photography and video. The drone results are nearly as stunning as the deck itself.
The overall footprint of the deck area is approx 1050sf (and, yes, we made it work around the existing, nice patio below). The left side of the deck features a 14’ diameter sunken area for a fire pit table and seating area, all covered by a low-maintenance, painted vinyl pergola. A raised, oblong-shaped area at the right side of the deck features a spacious seating area overlooking the deck and the backyard pond, island and beach. Picture-frame borders and trim around the deck highlight the curves and different areas of the deck.
Did someone say “beach party?” Yes, our clients did. And they also said “deck party!” They key word there is “party”…short for enjoying family, friends, sun, water, stars, food, drink…life, in a word. And the key to that, outdoor living-wise, is less maintenance due to the beautiful, high-performing, capped-composite Trex Transcend decking, rail posts and Westbury aluminum rail we incorporated into this outdoor living space.
